DESCRIPTION

What’s AI Got to Do with It: Should Companies Rethink their Corporate Governance Structure?

Join us for a fireside chat that explores whether companies should rethink their traditional corporate governance structures in light of evolving AI technologies. We will examine the role of shareholder primacy, the rise of dual-class stock in Silicon Valley, and the impact of AI on future governance models. This session will provide insights for directors and legal professionals advising companies on long-term strategy and decision-making.

Through interactive discussions, we will:

- Assess the evolution of corporate governance, from shareholder primacy to the increasing use of dual-class stock in tech companies.
- Explore how AI and other emerging technologies challenge traditional governance models and introduce new complexities in decision-making.
- Discuss the significance of Public Benefit Corporations (PBCs) and other evolving governance structures in addressing externalities and long-term stakeholder value.

This program is eligible for up to 1 hour of CLE credit in 50-minute states and 1 hour of CLE credit in 60-minute states. Credit hours are estimated and are subject to each state’s approval and credit rounding rules. This course is appropriate for experienced attorneys only. The L Suite has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board and the State Bar of California as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education. Additionally, we will seek CLE accreditation in IL, WA, FL, TX, PA, CO, GA, and any of the other 50 states by selecting your jurisdiction in the affidavit form received from the ABA. Canadian participants may use their certificates to submit for credit directly to the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Society of Ontario, and the Maison du Barreau du Quebec.

Open to L Suite members.

By Invitation Only.  Non-transferable.

Chatham House Rule applies.
