Legal and Finance are increasingly working side-by-side to build smarter, more strategic budgeting practices. But with different priorities, timelines, and reporting structures, alignment doesn’t always come naturally. This session explores how in-house counsel can strengthen their partnership with Finance teams, improving forecasting accuracy, streamlining accruals, and communicating more effectively around P&L realities, and legal spend.
Through interactive discussions, we will:
- Highlight budgeting best practices specific to in-house legal functions
- Clarify Finance’s expectations around timing, accruals, and reporting cycles
- Explore strategies for improving cross-functional communication and data-sharing
- Share real-world examples of how Legal leaders have created more predictable, value-driven budgeting processes
