Part 2: Building an AI-Enabled Legal Department
Startup vs. Scale
Using AI yourself is one thing. Building it into how an entire legal department operates is another.
In Part 2 of The Practical AI Series, legal leaders from Gusto and Inflection AI will share how they’re building AI-enabled legal departments at very different stages of company growth. From developing AI fluency and hiring for a builder mindset to deciding what to build versus buy and partnering across Security, Engineering, Finance, and other teams, this conversation will explore what it actually takes to move from experimentation to meaningful adoption.
You’ll hear how the role of the GC is evolving, what it takes to bring a team along through rapid change, and which distinctly human skills—judgment, leadership, creativity, and accountability—matter even more as AI becomes embedded in how legal work gets done.
Who should attend:
Legal leaders mid-AI-journey — past “where do I start” (Part 1), not yet at advanced ROI questions (Part 3).
Chatham House rules apply.
