Getting the Deal Through in Uncertain Times: A Practical Guide to Global Deal Clearance
Â
As antitrust scrutiny continues to evolve around the world, getting a transaction across the finish line requires a more strategic and forward-looking approach. Regulatory authorities are increasingly considering broader policy, political, national security, and competition concerns, creating new challenges for legal teams managing cross-border deals.
Join Fenwick & West + Slaughter and May for a practical discussion on the evolving antitrust and regulatory landscape affecting international M&A transactions. Drawing on perspectives from both the U.S. and Europe, our panel will explore how merger review regimes are changing, where regulators are focusing their attention, and how legal teams can proactively manage risk to improve deal certainty and execution.
During this session, we will:
- Examine key antitrust and regulatory considerations in cross-border M&A transactions
- Discuss how evolving merger review frameworks are impacting transaction planning and timelines
- Explore increasing political, policy, and national security influences on regulatory decision-making
- Identify strategies for navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory reviews and engaging effectively with authorities
- Review practical approaches to risk allocation, deal protections, and managing regulatory uncertainty throughout the transaction lifecycle
