One year into the EU AI Act’s implementation, the legal and regulatory landscape remains a work in progress, full of both promise and uncertainty. While organizations have moved from theory to early adoption, many legal teams are now confronting the hard realities of AI governance, privacy, and risk in operational environments that often diverge from early expectations. Compounding the challenge, legal leaders are being asked to absorb increasing complexity spanning global regulation, trade restrictions, and national security, while simultaneously tasked with keeping headcount flat and modernizing how legal services are delivered.
The pressure to deploy AI isn’t just about compliance or innovation—it’s about doing more with less, and doing it responsibly. This conference explores how legal executives are making sense of fast-moving developments, building scalable frameworks, and leading their teams through a moment of both disruption and opportunity.
The L Suite's AI Conference empowers GCs and CLOs with candid discussions and expert insights to tackle the most critical legal challenges of AI. Through collaborative problem-solving and the exchange of actionable insights, this exclusive event equips attendees to navigate urgent issues and shape the future of AI within their organizations.
1:1 Networking & Curated Dinners
Beyond the formal sessions, attendees will benefit from intentional 1:1 networking and thoughtfully curated pre-conference dinners. These dinners are designed to spark meaningful connections by aligning attendees based on shared industry, company growth phase, and leadership priorities.
GC Workshops
Your AI Tool Is Only as Good as Your Prompt
Join us for a hands-on workshop designed to sharpen your AI prompting skills. Whether you’re using ChatGPT, Copilot, or another platform, you’ll learn how to write clearer, more effective prompts that generate faster, more accurate, and more useful results.
Led by Laura Jeffords Greenberg, Legal Director and Head of AI Legal Academy @ Wordsmith, this session is tailored for in-house legal professionals navigating practical, high-stakes work. You’ll pair up to test prompts live, experimenting with small adjustments that can dramatically improve output—whether you’re drafting policies, reviewing contracts, conducting legal research, or exploring strategic scenarios.
The session is tool-agnostic and focused on real legal use cases. You’ll leave with a clear framework, a cheat sheet of 20 field-tested prompt tips, and fresh ideas for how your legal team can safely and effectively integrate AI into day-to-day workflows.
Bring your laptop and preferred AI tool. If you don't have a preferred tool, the team will help get you set up with one. This is a working session designed to build real skills you can put into practice immediately.
AI Governance in Practice: What Would You Do?
Join Adam Ruttenberg, Partner at Cooley, for a hands-on workshop that pressure-tests your AI governance strategy through real-world scenarios. In this interactive session, you'll navigate three high-stakes fact patterns involving shadow AI, re-identifiable data, and internal GenAI use — voting, reacting, and benchmarking your responses in real time. Adam will offer practical guidance throughout, highlighting how fast-moving tech companies can build effective AI oversight without becoming blockers. You'll leave with a clearer view of your governance maturity and actionable takeaways to help build, refine, and solidify your AI governance strategy.
AI in Action: What’s Working in Legal Tech
In this fast-paced session, a select group of AI vendors will each share a five-minute story, not a sales pitch, showing how their tools are helping real teams work smarter. The focus is practical: saving time, reducing noise, or making better decisions faster. Each example is designed to spark ideas about how legal leaders can drive productivity and create strategic value within their organizations.
You’ll also have time to explore the AI exhibition at your own pace, connect with vendors, and dig deeper into the tools that catch your interest.
Lean Teams, Smart Strategy: Building an AI-Ready Legal Function
As AI capabilities accelerate, corporate legal teams are being asked to do more with the same or fewer resources. This session will focus on how GCs and CLOs are rethinking the structure, strategy, and skillsets of their legal functions to responsibly embrace AI while maintaining quality, privilege, and accountability.
We’ll explore the practical decisions legal leaders are facing, including:
-How to shape an AI-ready legal team. What roles are evolving or emerging? Where might teams collaborate with AI agents in the near future?
-Workforce planning in the age of automation. How are leaders balancing productivity gains with headcount realities?
-High-value use cases that deliver measurable impact. Where is AI already augmenting legal work, such as in contract workflows, regulatory updates, internal guidance, or risk scoring?
-Replacing spend, not just effort. Can tools and models start to reduce reliance on external resources?
You’ll also hear how leading legal departments are approaching AI procurement, internal adoption, cross-functional partnerships, and change management, while staying aligned with core values of transparency, control, and legal judgment.
Attendees will leave with clear strategies for building a legal team that is leaner, smarter, and prepared to scale responsibly.
AI Governance: Navigating Risk, IP, and Privacy in 2025
The rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence presents a complex landscape of legal and ethical challenges for tech companies. This session will deep dive into the critical risk areas GCs and CLOs must navigate, providing practical strategies for mitigation. We will explore:
-Risk Identification & Mitigation: A deep dive into error propagation, algorithmic bias, and the growing threat of AI-related cybersecurity incidents.
-Intellectual Property: Understanding the complexities of ownership, inventorship, and protecting AI-generated content and models.
-Data Privacy: Navigating the intricate interplay between AI and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), including data security and transparency considerations.
Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the key legal and ethical risks associated with AI and actionable strategies to protect their organizations.
